Tragic news for the Ostroh community – it has been reported that a brave defender of our Motherland has died.

Soldier Kondratiuk Vasyl Olegovych, born in the city of Ostroh in 1992, selflessly defended the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, giving the most precious thing for it – his life.
The hero died last year – on June 29, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
From June 29, 2024, to October 23, 2025, he was considered missing under special circumstances. The death of the defender has now been confirmed, and the date of the farewell will be announced later.
