Melanoma is one of the most dangerous malignant skin tumors, arising from pigment cells (melanocytes). It is characterized by aggressive progression, rapid growth, and early metastasis throughout the body via blood and lymph. Although melanoma accounts for only 1–6% of all skin cancer cases, it is responsible for about 80% of deaths from these diseases.
