Doctors visited the Demydiv, Hoshcha, Ostroh, Berezne, Dubno, Mlyniv, Kostopil, and Sarny communities. During the outreach sessions, which were held almost monthly, they examined 595 patients. The highest number of examinations — 130 — took place in Dubno.
Free screening examinations were organized not only for the convenience of patients, who do not need to travel to the regional center, but also for the early detection of skin cancer. According to specialists, this disease is quite common and accounts for one-tenth of all cancer cases worldwide. According to the data from the skin and venereal disease dispensary, over 2 million people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year.
