On December 9–10, Rivne will host the Head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine – His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

This visit is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Daniel (Chokalyuk) and the 130th anniversary of the consecration of the Holy Resurrection Cathedral.
December 9
At 16:00, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius will conduct a moleben at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral in honor of its 130th anniversary of consecration.
After the service, a memorial liturgy will be held for the fallen defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives in the struggle for our freedom.
December 10
At 09:00, the Head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Protection Cathedral in Rivne.
At 11:30, a memorial liturgy will be served at the resting place of Metropolitan Daniel (Chokalyuk) – the archpastor who made a significant contribution to the spiritual development of the Rivne Diocese.
Residents of Rivne and guests of the city are invited to join in prayer with the Head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
