The traffic accident occurred on June 1 at around 18:40 on the Ternopil – Lviv – Rava-Ruska highway, specifically on Ob’izna Street in Zolochiv.

According to preliminary data from law enforcement, a Ford Focus, driven by a 33-year-old resident of Rivne region, collided with a ZAZ, which was driven by a 44-year-old resident of one of the villages in Zolochiv district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the ZAZ, his 12-year-old son, and his 34-year-old wife sustained bodily injuries and were urgently taken to the hospital.
Investigators have opened a criminal proceeding under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by this article includes restriction of freedom for up to three years with a possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a similar period.
Law enforcement is actively working to establish the details of the incident.
