On January 30 at 1:08 PM, a report was received on the emergency line “101” about a fire in a private residence located at: Rivne, Stepova Street.

Emergency response units from the 1st and 25th State Fire and Rescue Departments, as well as the Operational Coordination Center of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of the region and a gas and smoke protection vehicle, were urgently dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, rescuers found that the fire had engulfed the boiler room, which was attached to a two-story residential building. The area of the fire was 20 square meters. Due to heavy smoke and intense burning, there was a real threat of the flames spreading to the residential building.
The firefighters immediately deployed fire extinguishing agents to protect the house and to eliminate the fire source. Given the high concentration of combustion products, the rescuers operated in special respiratory and eye protection equipment. Thanks to the professional and coordinated actions of the firefighters, the fire was quickly extinguished, preventing its spread to the living quarters.
As a result of the fire, the covering and flooring of the boiler room over an area of 15 square meters, as well as a generator and power tools, were destroyed by the flames. The external cladding of the wall of the residential building was damaged over an area of 20 square meters.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. A total of 5 units of special equipment from the State Emergency Service and more than 20 rescuers were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated by specialists.
