On October 21 at 5:13 PM, the Rivne Region Emergency Service received a report of a fire in the premises of a sawmill located in Derazhne village on Shevchenko Street, Rivne District.

Emergency response units from the 1st State Fire and Rescue Post in Derazhne were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters determined that a vapor barrier in the sawmill was engulfed in flames, and there was a threat of the fire spreading to a neighboring storage facility. The firefighting efforts were complicated by a significant fire load.
Rescuers quickly deployed fire extinguishing agents. The fire was extinguished in nearly two hours.
As a result of the fire, a vapor barrier covering an area of 120 m² was destroyed, and electrical wiring and wooden boards were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by specialists.
