On January 27 at 15:32, the Rivne rescue service received a report of a fire in the village of Zhuravlyne in the Varash district, which occurred on Central Street.

Rescuers from the 12th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Varash, as well as the local fire team from the village of Mulchytsi, were promptly dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had engulfed the roof and ceiling of the utility building. Thanks to the efforts of the local fire team, which quickly contained the fire before the professional rescuers arrived, further destruction was avoided. After their arrival, the rescuers continued extinguishing the fire using firefighting agents.
As a result of the fire, furniture, household appliances, and other domestic items were destroyed, and the ceilings and roof of the residential building were damaged.
The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated.
Two units of special equipment from the State Emergency Service and six rescuers were involved in extinguishing the fire.
