First Complex Surgery for a Soldier with Osteomyelitis Performed in Rivne Region

A complex surgery has been performed for the first time on a soldier suffering from chronic post-traumatic osteomyelitis of the right leg at the Klevan Regional Multidisciplinary Hospital named after Mykhailo Verveha.

This is reported by Rivne24

This significant event was made possible by the new strategy of the hospital’s director, Bohdan Panasyuk. As a former combat medic, he focused on the development of the medical facility, paying special attention to providing medical assistance to the Defenders of Ukraine.

Recently, Panasyuk invited experienced orthopedic traumatologist Mykola Boholyubov from Khmelnytskyi to join the team and established cooperation with the “Regional Center for Combat Trauma and Bone-Purulent Surgery” of the Zdolbuniv Central District Hospital and its head, Serhiy Pechnikov. It was these specialists in Klevan who performed the surgery for the soldier.
