The dismissed head of the Transcarpathian Regional TCC and SP, Colonel Andriy Savchuk, went on sick leave after his dismissal to avoid being transferred to the reserve battalion in the city of Rivne.

This has been reported by local media.

Currently, Savchuk is on sick leave in Uzhhorod. Since January 7, he has been effectively avoiding questioning by law enforcement agencies as part of a criminal investigation opened after searches conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine.

During these searches, according to media reports, approximately $100,000 in cash was found in Savchuk’s possession, which had not been declared.

According to available information, he is being prepared to receive a notice of suspicion, and for this reason, sources say, Savchuk is undergoing inpatient treatment, effectively hiding in a medical facility to avoid investigative actions.

Sources also note that the diagnosis under which the sick leave was issued raises serious questions and is perceived as a way to buy time and avoid procedural decisions.

It should be noted that Savchuk is originally from the city of Zdolbuniv, and his actual place of residence is the village of Kvasyliv in the Rivne district.
