In 2025, 780 companies in Ukraine initiated court bankruptcy proceedings, accounting for about 10% of the total number of businesses that ceased operations.

Among the largest bankrupt enterprises, revenues range from 3.4 to 7.7 billion UAH. The majority of bankruptcy cases involve limited liability companies (84% of all cases in 2025). In particular, insolvent companies were those engaged in wholesale trade and agriculture.
Kyiv leads in the number of opened bankruptcy procedures, with 140 companies (18%) declaring insolvency. Moreover, in the Zaporizhzhia region, which is in a conflict zone, 138 companies (17.7%) declared bankruptcy.
In the Rivne region, 12 companies have also initiated bankruptcy proceedings.
