The State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine has reviewed a complaint sent through the “EcoThreat” service and discovered the illegal logging of 58 trees of various species on a plot of land owned by the Sosnivka territorial community, located outside the village of Maryniv.

During the inspection of the scene, no individuals involved in the illegal activity were found. According to the calculations of the Inspection specialists, the damage caused to the environment amounts to 248,678.39 UAH.
The specialists of the State Environmental Inspection believe that this case exhibits signs of a criminal offense and have forwarded the relevant materials to the National Police of the region to identify the responsible parties and enter the data into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.
