Tomorrow, at 8:50 AM, a memorial plaque will be unveiled on the facade of Gymnasium No. 3 in honor of the fallen hero Yevheniy Zakhodzhenko.

Yevheniy Zakhodzhenko was born on August 28, 1994, in Rivne. He studied at Rivne Gymnasium No. 3 and later graduated from the Separate Structural Unit “Rivne Transport Vocational College of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management,” earning a degree in Mechanics.
From childhood, Yevheniy dreamed of military service — this dream lived within him like a fire ignited by his grandfather, a true warrior by calling. He was convinced that his place was among those who defend their homeland.
In 2016, he consciously decided to serve his country and voluntarily went to the east.
Yevheniy was a person of incredible spirit and a great noble heart. He always found time for others and understood that Ukraine begins with each of us. Unfortunately, on February 27, 2022, Yevheniy was killed in the Kharkiv direction, giving the most precious thing — his soul and body — for the freedom of his people.
Posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III class.
