Mobile Dermatology Team Continues Work in Rivne Region

A mobile consultation session for patients was held in the Demydiv community by the regional dermatovenereology dispensary.

This is reported by Rivne24

Medical professionals emphasize that their work is focused on the prevention and early diagnosis of dermatological diseases among residents of remote areas of the region.

Throughout the day, doctors examined 61 patients, using dermatoscopy—a method that allows for the detection of dangerous skin changes at early stages.

During the screening, one case each of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and actinic keratosis was identified. Patients were referred to the oncology center for further consultation and treatment strategy determination.

In addition to cancer screening, specialists provided recommendations for those suffering from chronic dermatoses such as atopic dermatitis, follicular keratosis, and chronic eczema.
