The idea of a 17-year-old author will be brought to life on the facade of a building.
A solemn opening of a mural dedicated to the memory of the fallen Heroes of the community will soon take place in the center of Kostopol. The city council has announced the completion of work on this important project.

– The memorial mural will be located on the side facade of the building at 1 Rivnenska Street. The project was initiated by Natalia Prutskova, the head of the public organization “Parents of Angels.” Olga Aleksiichuk, a deputy of the Kostopol City Council and the head of the homeowners’ association for this building, also contributed to the realization of the idea by launching a competition to select the best artistic representation for the mural.
The winner of the competition was 17-year-old Anna Hergelyuk, a graduate of the Kostopol School of Arts. Her work titled “Winged Leaf” received unanimous support from the jury and will now be realized on the wall of the building.
The project was funded by the city council in collaboration with the public organization “Parents of Angels.” The solemn opening of the mural is scheduled for October 1, 2025.
