Work has begun in Rivne on a memorandum aimed at regulating the use of electric scooters.

This is reported by Rivne24

This document is being created jointly by the city authorities and rental operators to ensure safer conditions for pedestrians.

The parties have already preliminarily identified areas where they plan to restrict scooter movement. In particular, this concerns Taras Shevchenko Park, Lebedynka Park, and the area in Independence Square, where farewells to the deceased will be held.

The draft memorandum also includes the introduction of several additional rules, including technical requirements for the vehicles, speed limits, and the designation of special parking spots for scooters in the city.

Particular attention will be paid to analyzing user routes to understand where scooters are used most frequently and, accordingly, to develop a convenient and safe infrastructure.
