Oleg Shandruk: Progress in Defense and Positive Match Result

The head coach of Rivne’s Veres, Oleg Shandruk, shared his impressions after the draw match against Kolos.

This is reported by Rivne24

Shandruk believes that the draw is a positive result, even though the team did not create many chances. “Only Vladislav Sharai should have scored twice. Kolos generally performed well in defense, but we also played confidently in defense – this is encouraging. Our progress in this part of the game is noticeable after six starting rounds. Considering these factors, it was hard to expect a large number of goal-scoring opportunities, and the game confirmed this,” the coach noted.

Overall, Shandruk considers the draw to be a fair result, as Kolos also had several chances to score.

Commenting on the injury of Dmytro Klyots, the coach remarked: “This is the negative side of football. Any contact can lead to a serious injury. I hope Dmytro recovers quickly. I am grateful to him for his performance, as well as to all the players on the team. I also want to thank our fans, who once again supported us away from home.”

Oleg Shandruk also commented on the absence of Denys Ndukwe: “He is an important player in the starting lineup and has shown good performance in previous matches. Today he would definitely have added aggression to our attack. We are looking forward to his return, as he understands that he has let the team down, and he is now very motivated to make amends and is waiting for his chance.”
