As part of the implementation of an experimental project, two Environmental Control Points have been established in the territory under the jurisdiction of the State Environmental Inspection of the Polissya District.

Environmental Control Point No. 1 is located in the Zhytomyr region (village of Sadky, Zhytomyr district), while Environmental Control Point No. 2 is in the Rivne region (city of Sarny, Stepan Bandera Street, 8).
The area of responsibility for ECP No. 2 covers a territory of 647 km².
Its zone includes the city of Sarny and the rural districts: Korostensky, Krychylsky, Horodetsky, Kostiantynivsky, Remchytsky, Tseptsivitsky, Tutovitsky, Lyukhchansky, and Strilsky.
Since the opening of ECP No. 2 (on September 25, 2025), eco-inspectors have conducted 16 patrols and 5 raids. As a result of the inspections, numerous violations of environmental protection legislation have been identified.
Among the most common violations are the detection of unauthorized landfills both within and outside populated areas. There have also been recorded cases of illegal logging and the burning of dry vegetation near forests.
