At 2 a.m. on Basivkutska Street, patrol officers discovered a BMW whose driver was violating the curfew.

When the inspectors activated their lights and sirens, the driver only accelerated and attempted to flee. During the chase, he lost control and crashed into a curb at an intersection where a roundabout was organized. After that, he left the scene of the accident and continued to escape.
The patrol officers stopped the 36-year-old violator on Mlynivska Street. In addition to signs of alcohol intoxication, it turned out that he was deprived of the right to drive.
An alcohol test showed 0.48 promille. During a surface check, the police found a zip bag containing a substance resembling drugs. A investigative team was called to the scene.
The officers compiled several administrative materials against the driver:
- Part 1 of Article 130 (Driving under the influence) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Article 124 (Traffic violation resulting in an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Article 122-4 (Leaving the scene of an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Article 122-2 (Failure to comply with the driver’s requirement to stop);
- Part 3 of Article 126 (Driver restricted in the right to drive) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Part 4 of Article 126 (Driver deprived of the right to drive) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Additionally, investigators opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 309 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs without the intent to sell) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
