Investigators from the territorial units have initiated pre-trial investigations under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft committed under martial law).

This is reported by Rivne24

On October 4, a 45-year-old resident of Rivne reported to the police about the theft of 1000 dollars and 50 euros from her apartment.

Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Rivne District Police quickly identified a suspect in the crime, a 19-year-old local resident. It turned out that the young man had a friendly relationship with the victim’s son and had visited their home several times. Taking advantage of the lack of supervision, he stole the money, which he spent on purchasing a mobile phone and sneakers.

Additionally, police from Police Station No. 1 (Dubrovitsa) detained two men, aged 28 and 31, from the village of Perebrody, who broke into the home of a disabled villager on the night of October 5. They stole a chainsaw and an electric drill, which they later sold, spending the proceeds on their needs.

All three suspects could face imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years. Pre-trial investigations are ongoing.
