A new case of rabies has been recorded in Rivne region.

A case of a cat infected with rabies has been registered in the village of Zhalyn, part of the Kostopil City Council. In connection with this, the State Anti-Epidemic Commission has declared the village of Zhalyn a rabies-affected area. Quarantine restrictions have been implemented, and a threat zone has been established, which includes:
- the villages of Zbuzh, Zlazne, Volytsia, Yapolot, Trubitsi, and Pidluzhne in the Kostopil City Council;
- forest, field, and wetland hunting grounds of the KRTMiR “Lybid”.
Until the quarantine restrictions are lifted, the transportation of dogs, cats, and wild animals out of the affected area is prohibited.
