At the national level, the courage of Rivne police officers was recognized

The Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Rivne Region, Viktor Shansky, and his deputy, the head of the Special Operations Department of the National Police Unit “Lut” Stanislav Kolomiyets, presented state awards to law enforcement officers who demonstrated heroism in defending Ukraine.
Among the awardees are Mykhailo Kucher, who recently left the police force, and a fighter with the call sign “Kedyunya.” Both men joined the “Safari” regiment of the National Police Unit “Lut” in 2023, where they sustained serious injuries while performing their duties in the Toretsky direction. They are currently undergoing rehabilitation.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Viktor Shansky presented the police officers with the Presidential Awards of Ukraine “For the Defense of Ukraine” for their contribution to ensuring the defense of the state and protecting the population.
