Regional Puppet Theatre to Present New Play ‘Princess Dot’

‘Princess Dot’ is a new play being prepared at the Rivne Regional Academic Puppet Theatre, created with the participation of Kharkiv director Irina Tsypina, who is currently working in Lviv, and artist Vera Zadorozhna from Kyiv.

Theatre director Volodymyr Danyliuk shared on Ukrainian Radio that the plot of the new production captivates from the very first moments: in a distant kingdom, a girl is born in quite an unusual way – from a thrush’s egg. At first glance, she appears to be an ordinary, cheerful, and curious child, but within her lies something special. The answer to this question will be revealed to the audience during the performance.

According to Volodymyr Danyliuk, this play will appeal not only to children, as it is designed for family viewing. The main message of the production is the freedom and fear that reside in each of us, as well as the love that can change everything.

The new production will be available for viewing after December 12, and, as always, before the performance, the theatre artists will conduct an interactive event for the young audience.
