A 35-year-old woman has been remanded in custody, and she is currently in a detention center. The question of her placement in a specialized medical facility is currently under consideration.

It has been established that in one of the villages in the district, the woman gave birth at home. Even after the arrival of medical personnel, she did not allow them to enter. As a result, an investigative operational group was called.
Law enforcement officers found a newborn girl without signs of life, hidden under a blanket on the bed. According to the medical certificate, the child’s death was due to mechanical asphyxia, as she did not receive oxygen.
Police determined that the 35-year-old mother already has two children but has been deprived of parental rights. Therefore, she carefully concealed her third pregnancy from her relatives.
The investigation is conducting criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional murder by a mother of her newborn child).
According to the results of the psychiatric examination, it has been established that the woman is insane and does not understand her actions, nor can she control them at the time of the crime and still does not.
