Ihor Sukhy was born on October 2, 1978, in the village of Velykyi Shpakyv in the Rivne district. He studied at general education schools No. 22 and No. 18 in the regional center, and later at the local vocational technical school No. 10.

After completing his mandatory military service, Ihor worked at the enterprises “Burshtyn” and “Yamuna” in Rivne.
In January 2025, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Unfortunately, the 46-year-old soldier was killed on July 1, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the Sumy region. For a long time, Ihor was considered missing in action, but recently his body was identified and returned to his family for a dignified burial.
Ihor is survived by his wife, two sons, parents, and a brother.
The farewell to Ihor Sukhy will take place on Wednesday, April 29, at 10:00 AM in Independence Square in Rivne. A memorial service will be held at the Holy Protection Cathedral, and the serviceman will be buried at the Alley of Heroes in the “Nove” cemetery in the regional center.
