Rivne, which had showcased an impressive performance against Hoverla the day before by making 16 three-pointers, started the home match against Old Lutsk with the same enthusiasm. Four out of five successful long-range shots at the beginning allowed Rivne to take an +8 lead, prompting coach Nikita Voievoda to call a timeout. After the break, Old Lutsk managed to level the game, and although the Rivne players lost accuracy in their long shots, effective basketball in the first quarter gave the guests a 27:25 advantage.
The even game continued until the middle of the third quarter, when Rivne made a 16:2 run with five minutes left in the quarter, gaining a 12-point lead before the final ten minutes. The hosts looked confident, leading by +10 with 3 minutes left in the game. However, Old Lutsk did not give up, and with 28 seconds remaining, Roy’s three-pointer tied the game after a 10:0 run by the guests. Although Old Lutsk tried to complicate Rivne’s final attack, Steyler scored the winning free throw with 2 seconds left on the final buzzer.
Seivon Traylor was named the best player of the match, scoring 24 points and grabbing 9 rebounds, while Sem Roy from Old Lutsk scored 20 points and 9 rebounds.
This defeat marked the third consecutive loss for Old Lutsk, which remains winless, while Rivne finishes their home tour with two victories.
