The agency noted that consumers have begun to be disconnected for non-payment of water supply services. In particular, the disconnections affected an apartment of a debtor on Karnaukhova Street and a private house on Mark Vovchok Street.
Both consumers have accumulated significant debts—15,000 and 27,000 hryvnias, respectively—because they have not paid for water for several years.
Despite numerous discussions between the municipal enterprise’s inspectors and the debtors, as well as written warnings, the situation has not changed. As a result, Rivneoblvodokanal had to take action and temporarily disconnect them from the centralized water supply.
Now, debtors must not only repay the accumulated debts but also pay for reconnection to the service.
As of early October, the total debt of the population to Rivneoblvodokanal reached nearly 110 million hryvnias.
