Today, the regional commission for determining the status of individuals affected by the Chernobyl disaster and other categories of citizens was in session.
This is reported by Rivne24
Commission members reviewed individual cases of residents from Rivne region concerning the confirmation of categories, clarification of the status of liquidators and victims, as well as the replacement of certificates. Document packages from applicants were received over the course of a month.
As a result of the work, over 700 Chernobyl victims will have their certificates of victims of the Chernobyl disaster and participants in its aftermath issued or replaced.
Additionally, the commission discussed four disputed cases that require further verification of documents or resolution through judicial means.
In particular, in one case, a decision was made to grant a first-category victim certificate for a disease caused by the disaster. At the same time, in three cases, the status of liquidator and the issuance of a certificate were denied due to the absence of necessary supporting documents.
