The Rivne Regional Perinatal Center has received a new incubator for newborns, the OKM 801, which has several advantages compared to similar equipment already in use at the facility.
This is reported by Rivne24
This innovative device is already actively being used, and the team of neonatologists has undergone special training to utilize all its capabilities for the stabilization and care of infants as effectively as possible.
Among the key advantages of the OKM 801 incubator:
- Innovative PID control: The device continuously calculates and adjusts the difference between the set and actual temperature, providing an ideally stable microenvironment for newborns.
- “Warm curtain” system: When the walls or windows of the incubator are opened, the motor speed automatically increases, allowing warm air to be quickly supplied and preventing heat loss.
- Ultra-quiet operation: The reduced noise level due to modern pumps decreases stress in newborns, improving their sleep and the functioning of their respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
- Phototherapy lamps for jaundice treatment: The incubator is already equipped with phototherapy lamps to monitor the condition of infants and weight for body mass tracking.
Additionally, an intensive care incubator with oxygen servo control has been transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit, enhancing the quality of medical services provided at the center.
