In Rivne Region, a Driver Attempted to Bribe Police During Curfew

Yesterday, February 16, around 01:00, police officers from the patrol police response sector stopped a “Volkswagen Passat” vehicle with foreign registration near the village of Kryvytsia for violating the curfew.

During the document check, law enforcement officers discovered that the driver had never obtained a driver’s license. As a result, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the young man, who is a resident of the village of Tryputnia, under part 2 of Article 126 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

While processing the administrative materials, the 20-year-old driver attempted to bribe the officers by placing 100 US dollars and 3090 hryvnias between the front seats of the police vehicle.

In connection with the attempted bribery of a public official, the investigator initiated a pre-trial investigation.
