An indictment has been sent to court against a resident of Dubrovytsia, who is accused of illegally acquiring and storing amber without the appropriate documents confirming its legality. These actions were committed on a significant scale.

Last year, during a search of the 43-year-old man, law enforcement officers seized over 15 kg of amber, including raw material, processed stones, and finished products. The man was unable to provide any documents that would confirm the legal origin of the seized material.
According to the conclusion of the gemological examination, the value of the found amber amounts to nearly 300 thousand hryvnias.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigators of Police Station No. 1 of the Sarny District Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Rivne Region.
According to the sanctions of the article, the punishment for these offenses is imprisonment for a term of 4 to 7 years with confiscation of property.
