Recall that on August 20, during monitoring of social media, police discovered a video showing an unknown man carrying a dog on a pitchfork.
Law enforcement officers from Police Station No. 2 (village of Rokytne) established that on July 25, a 49-year-old resident of the village of Hlynne was upset that his yard dog had eaten poultry and attempted to pull a rabbit from its cage. As a result, the man, enraged, entered the neighbor’s property and stabbed the animal in the stomach with a pitchfork, then struck it on the head with a stick.
After that, he impaled the dog’s body on the pitchfork and carried it to the river, where he buried it.
The man has been notified of suspicion for the act of animal cruelty that led to the animal’s death, committed with hooligan motives.
The investigator has completed the pre-trial investigation, and the case materials have already been sent to court.
