In the fall, when children return to schools and kindergartens, and students return to universities, the risk of contracting the measles virus increases due to more time spent in enclosed spaces.
This is reported by Rivne24
Since the beginning of 2025, Ukraine has recorded over a thousand cases of measles among children, including 286 cases in children under 4 years old.
In the Rivne region, only one case of measles was registered in 2024, while in 2023, there were two cases among unvaccinated children.
As of today, there have been no confirmed cases of measles in the region.
Parents should remember the importance of vaccinations: if a child is missing scheduled vaccinations against measles, they need to be urgently caught up.
