Operatives of the Volyn Border Guard detained a 46-year-old resident of Rivne who organized the illegal smuggling of people across the border outside of checkpoints.

The perpetrator transported “clients” by car closer to the border they intended to cross. In turn, the organizer of the scheme found individuals willing to leave Ukraine and addressed other matters while in one of the EU countries.
Law enforcement officers detained the Rivne resident in the Kamen-Kashirsky district while attempting to smuggle a 25-year-old resident of Rivne region and a 36-year-old man from Kharkiv. The cost of the illegal journey was 11,500 US dollars.
The perpetrator has been notified of suspicion under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
