In the courtroom, the woman was taken into custody, so until the sentence takes legal effect, she will remain in the pre-trial detention center.

A 27-year-old resident of Kostopil repeatedly left her minor daughter without proper supervision for extended periods, as well as restricted her access to food and clothing, avoiding her parental responsibilities.
The investigator, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, informed the mother of the suspicion that she had not created proper and safe living conditions and had effectively neglected the physical well-being of her minor daughter.
At present, the girl and her three brothers are living with their father. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the materials of the criminal proceedings have been sent to court.
Aggravating circumstances in this case include the commission of a crime against a minor, while the mitigating circumstance is the mother’s sincere remorse.
Recently, the court issued a verdict in the case: the woman was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment. The verdict has not yet taken legal effect, and it can be appealed within 30 days.
