In Rivne region, servicemen have been exposed for conspiring to demand a bribe of 4 thousand US dollars from a citizen.

On September 19, 2025, they received 1 thousand US dollars as part of a promise to influence officials of the military unit for the illegal transportation of a cadet from the training center, so that he could evade military service, reported the Military Law Enforcement Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that another serviceman directly transported the cadet under the instructions of one of the individuals involved, unaware of the extortion and receipt of illegal benefits.
Currently, one of the participants in the criminal group has been detained in accordance with Article 615 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He will be charged under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and a preventive measure in the form of detention will be chosen.
In addition, a serviceman who directly carried out the transportation of the cadet has been detained on suspicion of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 27 and Part 4 of Article 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A motion will be submitted to the court for the selection of a preventive measure for him.
The whereabouts of another individual involved is being established. Investigative actions are ongoing.
