Almost 14,000 participants have registered in the region to compete in 15 subjects.

Among them, the most popular subjects are Ukrainian language and literature, English language, mathematics, and history, with over 1,500 applications submitted.
This year, the least popular subjects turned out to be French, Polish languages, and astronomy.
For the first time this year, the Ministry of Education and Science has involved students from vocational and technical education and students from colleges of higher education who entered after the 9th grade, as well as pupils from extracurricular institutions.
In total, nearly 600 participants from these institutions are taking part in the competitions. The highest number of applications came from Dubno Pedagogical Vocational College of RDGU, Rivne College of NUBiP, as well as Vocational School No. 1 and the Center for Vocational and Technical Education in Service and Design. Among the participants, there are also pupils from two extracurricular institutions and two private schools.
The Olympiads will last for several weeks. In the end, about 2,800 winners will be able to continue competing at the regional stage.
