In Rivne Region, six military personnel who gave their lives for Ukraine were laid to rest. Among them were Valentyn Kalezhniuk from the Hoshchanska community, Oleksandr Hrebik from the Dyiadkovytska community, Viktor Bilyavskyi from Rivne, Volodymyr Kosaruk from the Demydivska community, Andrii Karaban, and Leontii Kotyik from Sarny.

Valentyn Kalezhniuk, a native of Rivne, later moved to the village of Bochanitsia. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 5, 2025. Unfortunately, he was killed on January 29, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Oleksandr Hrebik, born on December 27, 2001, and residing in the village of Dyiadkovychi, was considered missing for over a year. His death was confirmed recently; he died on February 2, 2025, in Donetsk region.
Viktor Bilyavskyi, originally from the town of Horodnytsia in Zhytomyr region, moved to Rivne. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June 2024. Sadly, Viktor was killed on February 1, 2026, while performing a combat task in Donetsk region.
Volodymyr Kosaruk, born on October 11, 1975, lived in the village of Rudka in the Demydivska community. He served as a shooter-paramedic in the 2nd assault unit. The soldier, who had long been considered missing, was killed while on a combat mission on July 20, 2024.
Andrii Karaban, a resident of the village of Horodets in the Sarny community, took up arms to defend Ukraine in September 2025. He served in the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade. Unfortunately, he was killed on January 25, 2026, during a combat mission in the Sumy direction.
Leontii Kotyik, born on November 11, 1973, lived in the village of Zaluzhzhia in the Dubrovytsia community. Courageously fulfilling his duty, he was killed on December 5, 2023, during a combat mission in Donetsk region.
