In Rivne Region, Dogs Bit Children on Company Property

The incident occurred on March 24 around 7 PM in the village of Polytsia, where a pre-trial investigation is underway under Article 128 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding negligent serious or moderate bodily injury.

This is reported by Rivne24

The investigative team established that two local residents, aged 11 and 13, were passing by the territory of a private enterprise when they were attacked by two dogs — a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler. The animals jumped over a damaged fence and lunged at the children.

Hearing the children’s screams, the owner of the enterprise — a 51-year-old resident of Varash — rushed out to help. However, the dogs also began to bite him. The man managed to pull the animals away from the children.

The older boy was released home after receiving medical assistance, diagnosed with lacerations on both arms. Meanwhile, the 11-year-old boy was taken to Varash Hospital, where doctors found multiple bite wounds on his arms and legs, as well as fractures in both forearms. The child was hospitalized at the Rivne Regional Children’s Hospital.

The owner of the enterprise admitted his guilt and noted that he had not managed to repair the fence after winter. He is currently also in the hospital.
