In Rivne Region, the Memory of Three Fallen Defenders is Honored

A farewell ceremony was held in Rivne Region for three soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine. They are Vasyl Pryshchepa from the Rivne community, Vadym Mykhnych from the Kostiantynivka territorial community, and Artur Akopyan from Sarny.

Vasyl Pryshchepa, born on January 12, 1988, in the village of Zbuzh in the Rivne district, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. On July 6, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region, the 36-year-old soldier was killed. His body was only recently identified and returned to his family for a dignified burial.

Vadym Mykhnych, born in Kostiantynivka on March 7, 1998, enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fall of 2024. After training in Zhytomyr region, he continued his service in Dnipro, and later his unit was transferred to Sumy region. In this section of the front, he became the commander of an artillery platoon. Unfortunately, on February 1, 2026, Vadym Mykhnych was killed in Sumy region.

Artur Akopyan, who lived in Sarny, actively engaged in volunteer activities supporting Ukraine’s defenders since the beginning of the war. In the fall of 2025, he decided to defend his homeland and served with the 151st Brigade in the Kharkiv direction. Unfortunately, during his service, the 42-year-old defender fell ill and passed away on February 1, 2026, in the hospital.
