In Rivne Region, a farewell was held for two defenders of Ukraine: Oleksandr Kondratiuk and Leonid Dzhus, who gave their lives for the freedom of their homeland.

Oleksandr Kondratiuk, born in 1993, lived in the village of Novoselivka in the Mlyniv community. He took up arms to defend Ukraine from the first days of the war, beginning his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 25, 2022. Unfortunately, Oleksandr was killed on February 3, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kramatorsk direction due to enemy shelling.
Leonid Dzhus, born on September 21, 1972, and residing in the village of Varkovichi, fought for the freedom of Ukraine until his last breath. Since December 2024, he had been considered missing in action, and his life was cut short on December 16, 2024, during a battle with Russian occupiers.
