In Rivne Region, Three Soldiers Who Died on the Front Were Honored

Soldiers Who Joined the Heavenly Army

Sarny Region bid farewell to defender Mykola Ksyuk, whose youth was spent in the city of Varash. In this city, he earned the title of candidate for master of sports in judo, worked as a coach, and nurtured the youth. In 2010, Mykola moved to Sarny, where he started a family and continued to lead an active lifestyle. In recent years, he worked as a builder, always remaining friendly and ready to help those around him. For his sincerity and sociability, he earned respect among the people.

Joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine in October 2022, Mykola received awards for bravery, including the President of Ukraine’s award “For the Defense of Ukraine.” Unfortunately, on April 8, 2024, during battles in Donetsk region, communication with him was lost. For over a year, his family hoped for a miracle, but in September of this year, news of his death emerged. Mykola is survived by his wife, mother, three children, brother, and sister.

Korets Community also said goodbye to soldier Yaroslav Sysonyuk, who was born on July 20, 1967, in the village of Danychiv. After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he decided to defend his country. Unfortunately, on September 12 of this year, his heart stopped during service. Yaroslav was buried in the cemetery of his native village.

In Rivne, the memory of fallen defender Maxym Pastukhov, who was born on April 9, 1990, was honored. Until the 7th grade, he studied at school No. 10, and later at the Rivne Natural-Mathematical Lyceum “Elitar.” In 2011, Maxym earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the National University of Water Management and Nature Use. After his studies, he worked in Poland and later became involved in landscape design.

Maxym was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 20 of this year, but unfortunately, on September 7, the 35-year-old soldier died while performing his duties in the Chernihiv direction. Maxym is survived by his mother, father, and sister, and his father has been defending Ukraine at the front for the fourth year. The serviceman was buried at the Heroes’ Alley of the New Cemetery.
