An indictment has been sent to court against a 39-year-old resident of Dubno, who is charged with the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale, as well as the illegal sale of psychotropic substances, committed repeatedly (Part 1, Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation revealed that the head of the state fire and rescue post, a major in the civil protection service, organized a scheme for the illegal sale of methamphetamine.
The man worked only for advance payment. In November and December, law enforcement conducted several undercover purchases from him.
During the investigation, the accused has been suspended from performing his official duties and is under house arrest. He does not admit his guilt. The man faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators from the third investigative department (located in Rivne) of the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation, based in Khmelnytskyi.
