Recently, the final of the GENIUS Olympiad Ukraine 2026 took place, featuring around 400 high school students from various regions of the country.

The participants presented their scientific projects in eight categories, including: “Science,” “Artificial Intelligence,” “Programming,” “Art,” “Music,” “Short Film,” “Robotics,” and “Speech.”
The Rivne region was represented at the Olympiad by eight students from the Rivne Small Academy of Sciences for Youth. As a result, seven of them became medalists.
In particular, gold medals in the category of “Art, Mixed Technique” were awarded to:
– Anna Mazepa, a 10th-grade student from Rivne Lyceum “Harmony” for her work on the topic “Pollution of Water Bodies by Industrial Waste”;
– Kateryna Kravchenko, an 8th-grade student from Rivne Gymnasium No. 16, with the topic “Destruction of Natural Landscapes Due to Illegal Amber Mining.”
Bronze medals were awarded to five high school girls, three of whom study at Dubrovytsia Lyceum. Among them:
– Daryna Shynkar, an 11th-grade student who received “bronze” in the category “Art, Photography” for her work “Flame of Indifference” (teacher – Halyna Bilotil);
– Evelina Tomko, a 10th-grade student, with the topic “Determining the Phytotoxicity of Soil Contaminated with Transformer Oil” (teacher – Nataliia Pinchuk);
– Nika Korkosh, an 11th-grade student, presented her work “Plant Flowers. Grow Silence. Plant Flowers – Grow Silence” (teacher – Svitlana Korkosh).
Among the bronze medalists is also:
– Tetiana Radchuk, a 10th-grade student from Velykozholudskyi Lyceum, with her work “Anthropogenic Transformation of Flora in the Dworyshche Area” (teacher – Halyna Snitko);
– Khrystyna Vasyukha, an 8th-grade student from the Regional Scientific Lyceum in Rivne, with her work “Voice of the Sea: Animals Ask for Cleanliness” (teacher – Olena Kravchuk).
Additionally, the Honorary Award of the GENIUS Olympiad Ukraine 2026 was given to 11th-grade student Kateryna Tsaryk from Dubrovytsia Lyceum, who presented her work “Biotechnological Processing of Agricultural Waste through the Cultivation of White Button Mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus)” in the category “Science, Innovations” (teacher – Tetiana Dvoryk).
