An investigation is underway in Rivne regarding the director of a municipal enterprise, who is suspected of embezzling over two million hryvnias of state funds.

A contract was signed between this enterprise and the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Development for the provision of transportation services for passenger transport by municipal electric transport. According to the terms of this contract, the community was obliged to reimburse the enterprise for losses incurred due to lost trips that occurred for reasons beyond the carrier’s control.
The 60-year-old director, in violation of his official duties, inflated the amount in the acts of completed work, resulting in the receipt of 2,175,429 hryvnias of state funds. In this regard, an investigator from the investigative department, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, has informed him of the suspicion.
Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect, as well as his suspension from the position held, is being resolved.
