Today in Rivne, police received a report of an accident on Danila Halitsky Street, where a Toyota driver damaged barrier posts, crashed into a bus, and then fled the scene.

Officers immediately began searching and within a few minutes found the damaged vehicle on Stepan Bandera Street.
The police stopped the vehicle, and during their conversation with the driver, they noticed signs of alcohol intoxication.
The driver refused to undergo a sobriety test both at the stop and at the medical facility.
The 35-year-old offender was issued several administrative reports by the patrol officers:
- under part 1 of Article 130 (Driving under the influence or refusal to undergo a sobriety test) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- under Article 124 (Violation of traffic rules leading to an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- under Article 122-4 (Leaving the scene of an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
The vehicle was towed to an impound lot.
