Police are investigating an incident that occurred during training at a sports club in Rivne.

The 14-year-old boy was hospitalized in intensive care, where he is connected to a ventilator.
Medics reported the incident, which took place on September 11 around 8:30 PM, to the police.
According to law enforcement information, during a kickboxing sparring session, the teenager was struck in the solar plexus, causing him to lose consciousness. Preliminary reports suggest that the boy may have experienced cardiac arrest.
It is known that the coach, a 43-year-old man, did not provide immediate assistance. Medics who arrived at the scene performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and transported the teenager to the hospital.
Due to the improper execution of duties regarding the protection of children’s lives and health, investigators have opened a criminal case under part 2 of Article 137 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The police are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident.
