The patrol received a report on the 102 line about an accident on Kovel Street in Sarny.

At the scene, a witness reported that he saw a driver of a Toyota car crash into his parked Opel and flee the scene of the accident.
The police quickly located the 69-year-old Toyota driver. During their conversation with him, the officers noticed signs of alcohol intoxication and offered him a sobriety test, but the man refused.
Administrative materials were drawn up against the driver for:
- Art. 124 (Violation of traffic rules leading to an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Art. 122-4 (Leaving the scene of an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- Part 1 of Art. 130 (Driving under the influence or refusal to undergo an examination) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
