The Sykhiv District Court of Lviv Oblast has made a ruling regarding a 19-year-old native of Dubrovytsia, who in September 2025, at the behest of enemy intelligence services, set fire to a branch of “Nova Poshta” on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue, as well as igniting the door of a local resident’s apartment. The perpetrator has been given a suspended sentence.

According to the case materials, on September 29 at 4:50 PM, Bohdan Delidon, having received instructions from a stranger via Telegram, set fire to the entrance door of a local resident’s apartment and then fled the scene. The victim suffered material damage amounting to approximately 3,000 hryvnias.
On the same day, around 10:00 PM, coordinating his actions through Telegram, the young man ignited a gasoline canister near the entrance doors of the “Nova Poshta” branch located at 76 Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue. After the doors caught fire, the arsonist fled. As a result, “Nova Poshta” incurred damages exceeding 65,000 hryvnias.
During the court hearing, the accused admitted his guilt and expressed sincere remorse. He agreed to transfer the previously posted bail amounting to over 90,000 hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In making its decision, the court took into account that the accused had compensated the victim and “Nova Poshta” for the damages caused.
Judge Olena Horban found Bohdan Delidon guilty of intentional destruction or damage to property (Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to four years of imprisonment. At the same time, the court released the offender from the main punishment, establishing a two-year probation period.
As previously reported, police detained a 19-year-old resident of Rivne Region, suspected of setting fire to the “Nova Poshta” branch on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue in Lviv. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the detainee acted under the direction of enemy intelligence services disguised as SBU employees.
