As of April 11, an active phase of a large-scale search operation is ongoing in the Sarny district, aimed at locating the older of two brothers. Recall that on April 5, the body of the younger child was discovered, after which the search efforts have not ceased.

Significant forces of rescuers and law enforcement officers are involved in this operation. In total, dozens of specialists, special equipment, drones, boats, underwater drones, and service dogs are participating in the search. The search is being conducted both on land and in water, with particular attention given to the coastal areas and the bed of the Horyn River.
During the course of the operation, significant areas have already been surveyed:
- 97 hectares of the river’s shoreline have been checked on foot;
- 26.5 hectares of coastal territory and water area have been surveyed using drone systems;
- 4.6 hectares of the river have been explored with underwater drones and sonar.
As of April 11, 63 individuals and 12 units of equipment have been involved in the search operation. Three drones and six boats are in operation. The group includes rescuers from Rivne, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions, National Police officers, the special unit “Predator,” and border guards.
The search operation is ongoing continuously. Specialists are meticulously examining the area along the river’s current, holding onto hope of finding the missing child.
